Spiritual Quest

I seek to know myself
And toward that end I look to others
To others’ passions, to others’ mistakes, to others’ trials and tribulations
When we do not look within, we must look without
And eventually, we gain enough evidence that looking within is the only solution to figuring out this vexing problem: what is the meaning of life?
It can never be found outside of ourselves,
the answer only lies within
For within is the felt truth of our essence, the felt truth of beauty
Lies and egos are our roadblocks, our defenses
Discernment is our ultimate ally
For discernment is wedded to truth, to honesty, to sincerely looking beyond superficiality to what is seemingly ugly and dark.
No-thing is ugly and dark in truth,
those things are merely held by us within shadow waiting for our skills to allow them to our vision that they may truly be seen for what they are – ourselves hiding from God.
I Am That I Am, and that is ultimately enough, for it is Truth.
